The lash and brow care guide
The first 24 hours decide most of it. Lash extension adhesive and brow lamination solution are both still setting, so keep the area dry: no shower steam on the face, no swimming, no sauna, no crying through a film if you can help it. Water in the first day is what turns a clean set into a set that sheds early.
Sleep on your back if you wear extensions. A side or stomach sleeper crushes one eye into the pillow for seven hours a night, and that is why one side always thins out first. A silk pillowcase helps, but position helps more.
Clean them anyway. People skip washing lashes because they are scared of losing them, and then oil, makeup and skin cells build up at the lash line, which loosens the bond faster than water ever would. Use a foaming lash cleanser and a soft brush every second day, rinse, then dry on a cool setting while brushing them straight.
Read the ingredient list on everything that goes near your eyes. Oil is the enemy of lash adhesive: cleansing balms, castor oil, most eye creams and waterproof mascara removers all break it down. Water-based, oil-free products only.
No mascara on extensions, and no lash curler ever. A curler snaps the extension and takes your natural lash with it. If your set has dropped, that is a fill, not something to fix at home.
Brush laminated brows upward every morning, then set them. Lamination reshapes the hair, it does not glue it, so five seconds with a spoolie and a clear gel is the difference between groomed and unruly. Skip growth serums and retinol directly on the brow for the first 48 hours.
Tint fades, and that is normal. Lash and brow tint sits on the hair, so it softens over three to four weeks with washing and sun. Keep hot water and exfoliating acids off the brow line and the colour lasts closer to four than three.
Book a fill at two to three weeks for extensions, six to eight weeks for a lift or lamination. Waiting until a set has fallen out means paying for a full set again, and lamination repeated too early is the main cause of dry, frizzy brow hair.
Call us if anything itches, swells or stings. Redness on the lid, weeping or a burning feeling is not a normal reaction, and it is always better to have us look at it than to pick at it at home.
