The skin types, and how we treat each one

Dry skin makes too little oil. It feels tight after cleansing, shows fine lines earlier and flakes in winter. We work gently, keep steam short, and finish with a barrier layer of ceramides and an occlusive so the water we put in stays in.

Oily skin makes too much. Pores read larger through the T-zone, makeup slides by midday, and congestion shows up as blackheads rather than dryness. Extractions matter here, along with light gel hydration afterwards — stripping oily skin only makes it produce more.

Combination skin is both, in different places. Oily forehead, nose and chin; normal or dry cheeks. We treat it by zone: a clay mask where it is oily, a hydrating mask where it is not, on the same face in the same session.

Sensitive skin reacts. It flushes, stings and turns red from products other people tolerate. No aggressive acids, no aggressive steam, no fragrance — we patch a small area first and build the treatment around what your skin has already shown us.

Normal skin is balanced, and the goal is to keep it that way: a steady cleanse, mild exfoliation, hydration and consistent sunscreen. Most of the work is maintenance, not correction.

Skin type is not permanent. Season, age, medication, stress and pregnancy all shift it, which is why we re-read your skin at every visit instead of repeating the last protocol.
